I found the book somewhat confusing, it was a great idea… and one thing you had forgotten… it was originally meant for an Aussie Bites Series. These books always end with some miraculously kind of predictable ending where we get what we want and lead a perfect life. I’ve read a lot during primary school so I know. However, I do agree that this book leaves a lot of questions at the end. And I think that’s fine for people who like to write fan-fiction. They could answer the questions and manipulate the way a fairy works.

I had read the book some twenty years ago. But as I went through the review, I could recall each and every single page. Great review. It forced me to read the book again.

Great book. I totally loved it. Nicholas is a great story-teller and he really knows how to grab people by the heart. And it’s really powerful. I’m an author too and I know how much it takes to really write a story that touches people’s hearts. Nicholas Sparks I think, without realizing it has taught me everything I know.

although i dont remember the sixties except from movies, all i know is what i have been told and seen,in these times there was so much turmoil going on, war , those for and against,a lot of things happened during the decades of 50′s and 60′s i dont know how my parents coped the,the book has been added to my reading list, i look forward to see how things were for those characters, thanks for the post.

I just watched the movie and I loved it so much that I turned my computer on and ordered the book ( or should I say books!!) Can’t wait to read the full story, cause you know what they say, the book is always better then the movie! :D :D
